oops.

I've been dead for months here in dA. Argh, as much as I need more time for myself, work just manages to get in the way.

Don't get me wrong, though. I love, love, love my work! But, of course, there are some days that I end up cursing my job because I get stressed out. Then I forget about it and realize, once again, that I'm one of the lucky ones that get paid to do what they love the most. ;p

Then there's the entire deal of having to balance work, me-time and family + friends. I have been going out more often to meet up friends for coffee or go out drinking and getting wasted. At the same time, I've been trying to always be with my family when praying the rosary at night or during dinners. Oh, time hates me. But, hey, at least I'm getting to spend time with the people I care about even if it means getting just a couple of hours of sleep. It's worth it.

Anyway.

Hopefully I can post some stuff that I took with my newest baby. I got myself yet another lomo cam, an LC-A+ with the ringflash, which I named Sputnik. :) I'm still finishing off a roll from Urkel, the Supersampler, so I can have my 3-4 rolls of film processed. Excited!

Wish I could post the shots I've done recently at work. I shall try and ask permission since I kinda need them for my portfolio, too.

Until then. ;p

After months of not having anything new and worthy for uploading, I finally have a few shots! I bought, along with my brother, a Lensbaby 3G that we've wanted for a long time now. :)

It's nice to have something new in life.

Hopefully, my new portfolio will push through soon. I'm working on the website now. I have shitloads of photos to sort through... Hay.

Wish me luck!

I just feel bad that I can't seem to find time to take photographs for myself even if I'm working as a full-time photographer.

I need to find a way to make this work out.

Whoa, it's been too long! I've been too idle. Growing up can sometimes suck. I guess having all the time in the world is the thing of the past now.

Since the last time I updated, I've already started working and I've officially graduated from college, carrying with me a degree in Multimedia Arts. And now, I am trying to slowly inch my way to trying to get another degree or taking up my masters. I just need a whole lot more of convincing. Or maybe I'll just stick to my original plan after graduation and just bum and travel for a while. The latter sounds better, dontyathink?

Anyway, been busy with work nowadays trying to catch up on finishing my clients' orders since I went on vacation for 3 days. I barely have the time to check stuff online, let alone update my dA or reply to comments. My bad. ;p But I really appreciate those who have added some of my photos as a :+fav: and those who left me comments. Sankyu.

Since it's my day-off today, I decided to catch up on filtering (and uploading) photos from the latest trip I had to Ilocos last September 8-10. Wish it could've lasted longer and that the weather was perfect. Oh well, shit happens. ;p (OH YEAH, the camera was reset :O_o:, so the date on the photos' info is totally incorrect. Thankyouverymuch.)

Oh yeah, for those who are interested, the company I'm working for, Blow-Up Babies, is currently looking for part/full-time graphic artists and photographers. Interested? Leave me a note or visit the website for more info as to where your resume and folio should be sent. :D It's one of the coolest companies you can ever be a part of!

Well, that's it for now. Until the next time I go on a phototrip or have a day-off. ;p

the nekkidness of it all.

I've just posted most of my nude photos that were part of the group exhibit I was in. Eleven photos, to be exact. Some of them weren't part of the exhibit, but were worth posting anyway. :)

Amazingly, the photos turned out to be okay for my first attempt of taking nudes. And as humans for subjects! And for my first exhibit! My ged, I'm beginning to evolve!

Wild.

The photos (printed on metallic paper) are for sale, by the way. If you're interested or know someone who is, send me a note or an email to margaux(dot)soriano(at)gmail(dot)com. I don't have a prints account here in dA, so there. Sucky.

That's all, folks. I'm still hungover from my exhibit experience. :)
